1st "Do"

Grace and I took our first foray into the world of "hair-dos" today. Up to now, we have focused on keeping her hair moisturized and tangle free (not her favorite pastime). Quite often, she flops to the floor and attempts to rub her head on the carpet while I try to pick out the curls. Fortunately, she was in an extra coopertive mood this morning, since I was not feeling particularly dextrous when it came to taming those locks. She still has an (almost) bald strip across the back of her head, but the curls that are present were just long enough to gather into a bunch of tiny ponytails. I was fairly pleased with the results. She must have been too, because after a few touches to see what was going on, she left the rubberbands in all day. Look out hair world, here we come!!

  7. Very cute. I'm never sure whether it's better to go with big squares like you did (big=less parts which means less time) or smaller squares (smaller=looks nicer longer since the hair has to migrate farther to escape the rubber band). Maybe I'll ask her if she would you rather be tortured for 15 minutes once a week or 30 minutes every-other week?
