Looks like everyone had fun. We took the boys bowling in December, and they LOVED it! After every turn, Sparkle pumped his fist in the air and said, "Yesss!"
All-so-adorable! What a beautiful family, Blaine. Yes, you have inspired me to take our family bowling..what a blast! I think even our 4 year old could do it. :)
When we were in Norway for Christmas, my whole family went bowling one day- me, my parents, my brothers, my aunt,my uncle, and my two cousins. We had the best time! Bowling really is great for the whole family.
The bowling was a lot of fun, and posting the pictures made for an easy post for me. I'm not very good at bowling either, but the looks on my kids' faces when they succeed, makes my humiliation worth while. 8^) Justin (4 years old) was definitely able to participate. He is so surprised and happy in that picture because he got a spare. Very exciting! Even my oldest, Kayla, was pretty thrilled when she made a good shot. What started out as an invitation to a friend's birthday party, turned into inspiration for us, and maybe even some of you. Bravo!!
bowling, the way I shattered my ankle throwing a 16 pound ball between my legs directly into my foot.....
with no insurance I had an emergency room nurse friend put a cast on my foot in her kitchen and I use crutches from the salvation army (and I had to walk a mile to college everyday as my licsense got revoked for writing a bad check to the DOT when I switched from a military licsense to a civilian liscense....
needless to say, bowling isn't the highlight over here that it is for some!
Wow, I am glad to hear that someone else isn't so fond of bowling either. Believe it or not I used to be on three bowling leagues at one time. I was the President and Secretary on 2 of my leagues for 5 years! However, that all came to an end when we all went bowling the day after Thanksgiving 2 years ago with my husbands entire family. We went at 12:00pm (noon) and I was the first one to throw my ball. We were at a different bowling alley and I did not have my own shoes or ball. So I preceded to the line to throw my ball, my feet went over the fowl line and hit the oil on the lanes and I went up and came back down (ya know like you see on Funniest Home Videos) on my back. I was laughing hysterically in pain and of embarassment!!! I ended up on the emergency room with my LEFT ELBOW BROKE AND MY RIGHT WRIST BROKE!! Yep, you heard it both arms in a cast. Do you know you can't even go to the bathroom by yourself when you have 2 casts on!! So needless to say bowling is no longer a highlight here either!!!
Although my kids do still love to bowl, I leave it up to the school to take them on various field trips and incenvites!
