Grace's hair is finally long enough to do a veil style!!! That might seem like a silly thing to be excited about, but we have been limited to two styles since she came home; the 'fro and puffs. It took 2 episodes of Blue's clues, lots of playing with the hair "pretties", a number of rounds of Itsy Bitsy Spider & Pat-a-cake, a few extended hugs from her big sis while singing Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, and finally; Daddy held her down for the last two rubber bands. Doing hair on a toddler is no small feat! In the end, I was very pleased with the result, and Gracie was too. We all know, that's what really matters anyway, right?
Update: The hair went from "veil" to twisty puffs within about 15 minutes of the above photos being taken. Oh well. At least we're making progress. I can settle for baby steps. 8^) BTW, Grace still doesn't have all four of her front teeth (2 upper, 2 lower) in, but she has cut 3 of her 4 two year molars. What can I say? This girl does things her own way!!

Great job!!! I've never before attempted it on my girl's entire head... just on the top and sides. I'm in awe. Looks fantastic!
Great job on her hair- it looks so cute!!
That is just adorable!
Great job!
Have you seen that your two girls seems look each other? I mean, they are very similar in the photo together! Je, je
A lot of regards

That looks gorgeous! Did she pull it out, or did it fall loose after the photos? I remember when C. was 11 mon. old and had a HUGE uneven afro that I couldn't wait to cut. It wasn't like I could put bands in it since he's a boy. But as tradition held, we waited until his first birthday. Then he wore an even, maintained fro for awhile. When it's healthy, it's beautiful, so don't sweat the short lived veil.

I love the hair. Sorry it didn't hold. I can’t wait to do my little ones hair.
Wow! That was so cute...for a minute.
Very cute! I bet the twisty puffs are cute too!
Good job! Such a cutie pie. BTW I hope to do some blogging today. It only be a few months

She looks adorable -- great job! It cracks me up that it only last 15 minutes. :) I haven't tried anything different with Amelia's hair, but she makes me laugh because she is constantly messing with it, last night at my parents, she grabbed a brush and started brushing it -- not a good thing to brush out curly hair. So she had a couple funny fluffs on the top of her head.
Wow, you are talented! That looks so cute!
I laughed at this blog post because I could only think of my soon to be adopted 3 yr old daughter. To get her to sit still just to put a braid or twisty in the back is a feat in itself. I also laughed because it seems that her hair messes up quicker than her 2 older sisters'.
Way to go on the hair - wow!
I am seriously in awe of you! Her hair looks amazing! And she is the cutest little bugger ever.
:)
